With the delay of Article 50 and the UK leaving the EU, now pushed back to the 31st October, pets that were trying to plan their summer holidays can breathe a sigh of relief! We have been updated by APHA today with the current guidelines -

"The UK Government has now agreed with the EU to a six-month extension of Article 50. This means that the UK will not leave the EU on 12 April. During this extension period, we will remain a member of the EU. We will continue to update our advice on how to prepare for EU Exit as negotiations progress. Pets will be able to travel to the EU using their current EU pet passport until the UK leaves the EU. No further checks or tests are required."
