Charity Raft Race!

Last year you may remember we supported the Blue Cross Charity and held a very successful Paws for Tea day.  We had so many visitors and raised lots of money over tea and cake as you can see from the photos.  This year we are supporting the Guildford Lions

We helped out with the judging of the Dog Show over the Easter bank holiday in freezing conditions but still had a whopping 90 entries despite it trying hard to snow!  For our next adventure we have entered for the Wey Raft Race on July 6th!

Guildford Lions are a voluntary organisation that support lots of different local charities for more information on their work have a look here.  As you can see they run a charity raft race every year as a fund raiser and we have entered a practice team.  The theme this year is Cinema Characters so we are going as the Jungle Book Boaters!

We will keep you updated with our raft building and photos of the day but if you are free and wish to support a good cause then come and support us on Saturday 6th July. The race starts at 3pm and runs from the centre of Guildford at Millmead for 2 km. I expect we will all get very wet regardless of the weather but it should be great fun and helps a worthy local charity; we'll let you know how we get on!
