Our First Birthday!

How time flies!  Wednesday saw us celebrate our first Birthday.

The practice was open all day but in between our normal consulting times we decided to throw a bit of a birthday party.  It turns out everyone at the practice is pretty good on the baking front!  We had a wide array of muffins, cookies, chocolate brownies, white chocolate cheese cakes, chocolate cornflake cakes and even a courgette cake!

So many friends of the practice popped in for tea/coffee and cake to celebrate.  We had over 50 people and their dogs come by to enjoy the day.  All the dogs who visited seemed to have a marvelous time too!  Lots of treats and surprise birthday gifts were enjoyed by all.  There are lots of photos on our Facebook page of everyone having a great time - can you see your dog?!

The practice was open for tours and to see all our new equipement that has been amassed over the year.  We had a case of the month board highlighting how some great pets have managed to overcome some pretty horible conditions over the year.

All in all a great day although it did take a day for blood sugar levels to stabilise with everyone at the practice enjoying a bit too much cake!  An added bonus was that we were allowed to take surplus cakes over to Birtley Court Nursing Home in Bramley where they brought a smile to everyone's faces too!

A huge thank you to everyone for such amazing support over the past 12 months.  We have been blessed with the best first year and can only hope that our second will be just as fantastic!
