You’re in safe hands with Oak Barn Vets.
Here at Oak Barn Vets Guildford, we offer a wide range of specialist services that enhance the quality of care we are able to give to you and your pets.
Cruciate Ligament Surgery
One of the most frequent orthopaedic procedures performed on canines is surgery to alleviate lameness brought on by disease or injuries to the Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL). Recently, a procedure known as the Modified Maquet Procedure was created (MMP). In the knee joint, this uses a titanium foam wedge insert.
In comparison to many older methods, the success rate is relatively high and the complication rate is very low. Several CCL procedures might have quite significant costs. When deciding where to send your pet for surgery, we take satisfaction in offering you a reasonable alternative.
RidgeStop™
A cutting-edge surgical procedure called RidgeStopTM is used to treat patellar luxation (floating kneecap). This is a quick, low-cost substitute for sulcoplasty surgery that can be utilised independently, as the only treatment for patella luxation, or as an additional procedure after re-alignment procedures.
Laparoscopic (Keyhole) Surgery
We are happy to inform that Oak Barn Vets in Guildford can now do laparoscopic bitch spays.
Because "keyhole" or laparoscopy provides a number of advantages over conventional open surgery, it has been utilised extensively in human surgery for many years.
