  • Paws for Tea - a date for the diary!

Now that Spring has officially arrived we thought it would be nice to get a date in the diary to get outside in this lovely countryside.

On Saturday 19th May 2012 we are planning a fund raiser for the Blue Cross - Paws for Tea.  Cakes and tea will be available at the practice all morning.  You can come and park with us and enjoy some optional walks around the beautiful North Downs and across to the river.  Maps will be available and there will be different routes and distances for you to enjoy.

The Blue Cross are a charity organisation that not only help find homes for unwanted animals be that horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs (you name it they will care for it!), they also offer assistance to help with Veterinary costs in certain cases.  For more information have a look at The Blue Cross - what we do. Some of you may remember Louise's old dog Scooby the Ridgeback who came from the Blue Cross as a rescue from when she first qualified and did charity work through her first practice job. He would have definitely helped with the cakes!

Dogs, family and friends more than welcome on the day.  Even if you don't like walking there will be refreshments and the garden to enjoy!  If the weather is terrible then we will move inside - it's not like we are pushed for space!

More news later regarding exact arrangements.  However if you are a keen baker and would be interested in donating a cake, tray bake or sweet treats then please let us know at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Over a cup of tea you could help transform the lives of sick, injured and homeless pets!  Last year the Blue Cross rehoming centres took in more than 7,000 unwanted dogs, cats, horses and small pets and their hospitals and clinics treated around 30,000 poorly animals. All proceeds will go towards helping animals in need through the Blue Cross with the added bonus of a countryside walk, tea and cake!
