February's case of the month is the very sweet Tilly, a mild mannered, nine and a half year old Shetland Sheepdog or “Sheltie” as they are more commonly known. She came to Oak barn Vets suffering from a limp in her left foreleg which seemed to have come on quite suddenly. Tilly loves her ball and is generally an active dog but when Louise saw her she had developed quite a hobble.
Many dog owners will have heard about Alabama Rot in the media this week and the worrying news that it is killing our dogs out on their usual walks. To put your mind at rest this is a recent development in the investigation of something known as Seasonal Canine Illness (SCI) that we have been reporting for some time now (link to our blog from October 2012).
January has our case of the month highlighting some incredible images taken to investigate a very wobbly guinea pig called Steve! If you look at the bottom of the page you can watch a short 3D video showing the inside of his head! We promise you it's not a dinosaur!
December's case of the month is a really unusual case with a very happy ending in a lovely rabbit called Luna. Most of you would look at a lump like this in a mouth and think that it carried a really bad prognosis but read on as Luna is doing brilliantly!

November's case of the month goes to the lovely Molly. At this time of year we are all used to having runny noses but did you know that cats can have similar problems.
Last year you may remember we had a drawing competition and we had such a fantastic number of entries so we thought we would hold it again!
Did you know that it is Pet Diabetes Month? This is a nationwide campaign to raise awareness and test the UK's cats and dogs for diabetes.
October's case of the month goes to Dharma. Thanks to her observant owners she is still with us and survived surgery to have a massive splenic tumour removed that weighed an entire kilogram! Not bad when you consider Dharma only weighs 13kg! For those of you who are not squeamish look further to see the amazing photographs of her surgery and learn more.
